Join us for "100 Days of Quilts" and our 5th Annual Retreat

We hope your winter is going well and that you are getting a lot of quilting done! 

Our winter is going great. We just wanted to make sure that you are all aware of our 100 Days of Quilts.

This is happening on our blog where we post a new quilt everyday for 100 days. Consider it a live, daily quilt show or a count down to spring!

Be sure to go to our Hometown Retreat page where all of the new info about our Spring Retreat in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba (Please Note - Space is limited). Also visit the Events page for some important dates to remember.

Cape Cod Collection Now Available (11/3/2007)

Thanks to all the ladies who made our 4th Annual Hometown Retreat a huge success!  Another big thank you to all those who came out to our open house and joined in the celebration of Cape Cod!!

The Summer Heat Can't Slow Us Down (07/30/2007)

Well we are smack dab in the middle of summer here in Manitoba. Temperatures of 34 degrees have been the norm and with the humidex it’s more like 52 degrees!  Thank goodness for air-conditioning…hope you are staying cool and comfortable wherever you are this summer. This summer at BMD is busy and moving forward…very exciting stuff coming up.  We are busy working on new fabric collections and all kinds of quilt designs. If you haven’t seen it already, check out our Quick Quilts in the fall issue of Quilts and More, which will be out soon too. We have heard from so many of you in regards to our newsletter and our blog…thanks for your kind words. We will be sending out our next e-newsletter around mid-August and our blog is now being updated about twice a week.  This week we have heard from some amazing customers and that's what seems to keep our creative juices flowing…and lately they seem to be flowing freely!  Keep in touch and look for new products in the shop early this fall.

The past three years we have had many wonderful quilters from all over Canada and the USA attend and this year will be no exception.

However, we have also added a few new features which we would like to highlight...

For those of you who may not know, we now have a blog. This is where we will give you a more in depth look at our day to day adventures. It also gives you an opportunity to interact with us.

Over the years we have had the pleasure of appearing in a number of magazines, so we thought it would be nice to showcase those on our website. You can find out more by visiting our press page.

How to... is also a new section. This is where you can learn the basics of quilting and the techniques that we use. We hope you find them helpful.

Finally, we are now offering you the option of ordering custom quilts directly from BMD. If you like one of our patterns, but don't have the time to make the quilt yourself, get in contact with us and we will have one of our quilters do it for you.
